Student id number in Moodle

    The student id number is transmitted to Moodle by the central UHH-Login service of the University of Hamburg.


    Moodle stores the student id number in the profile field ”ID number”.  im Profilfeld „ID-Nummer“. The student id number is visible to teachers and enables them to clearly assign submissions or exam results, as well as enroll students in courses.

    The student id number is updated each time you log in. It is not possible to change it manually in Moodle. This ensures that it is clear who has submitted an assignment or conducted an exam.
