To work collaboratively in Jupyter, you can use the group folders. Depending on the usage scenario, there are different requirements for a group folder in terms of structure and authorizations.
We can offer you four different types of group folders:
- RW Group: A simple group folder in which all members have read and write permissions.
- RW+RO Group: The extended version of a simple group folder. It is possible to differentiate between members who are only allowed to read or also write.
-
Course: The structure of the group folder is adapted to a course scenario. There is an exchange folder for assignments and materials, as well as a personal submission folder for each student.
Teachers have read and write access to the entire group folder. Students, on the other hand, can read the contents of the exchange folder and only have write access to their submission folder. All other submission folders are not available to students. - Course with Nbgrader: This group type is a variant of the course adapted to the use of Nbgrader.
If you require a group folder on Jupyter, please contact our support team: dl.min@uni-hamburg.de. Tell us the desired group type, the group/course name and send us a list of the members or teachers and students. The group will be set up for you.
