How do I automatically enroll students?

You want students to be automatically enrolled in your Moodle course if they have been registered for your course in STiNE.

This is possible with the enrollment method "Enrol by Course ID number", activate this option in your course settings:

Afterwards, look up the course number of your lecture in STiNE. It can be found in the course catalog in the top right-hand corner of the respective course. It currently starts with the number "3" and has 15 digits:

⚠️ Each time you log into Moodle, a list of registered courses is transferred. Students are enrolled on the basis of this list. It is therefore possible that the list of course participants will only gradually fill up at the beginning of a semester.

Since April 2025, it is possible to enter multiple STiNE IDs separated by commas. This allows enrolled users from multiple STiNE events to gain access to a single course room on Moodle. This is useful, for example, when multiple events have been set up in STiNE for different groups within a single course (such as a practicum).
