In Moodle, the student e-mail address is primarily used if it is available and stored in the central user administration (IDMS). These addresses typically end with "@studium.uni-hamburg.de". The business e-mail address is used for employees and doctoral candidates.
As this address is not transmitted by the central login service UHH Login, this data field is synchronized with Moodle on a daily basis. This means that after the initial registration in Moodle, the e-mail address in your Moodle account will only be updated by this automatic process.
Former students who are now employees may still have a student e-mail address stored. This can happen if you are still listed in the student group. Manual corrections by our team are not possible. Please contact the ServiceLine (RRZ).
